Masia Serret is an ancient farmhouse typical of this area situated on the middle of the Valley of Àger and constructed on top of the remains of romanic hermits church of Santa Maria del Pla, documented from 1048. The actual owners have restored bit by bit this house and its surrounding area to adapt it into an enchanting and cared space respecting its ancient caracteristics within modern requirements. The ancient walls sotres and sheds have been converted into bedrooms for the visitors and a garden space and the old main room of the church into a living room with a fire place. All is stone, wood and cloth.
Montsec mountain opens up in all its grandure infront of the house: appreciate its wonderful geology or look at the pilots of parapent or hangliding or the collegiate building of Sant Pere d’Àger is guaranteed entertainement and at night observe the light sky of Starlight reservation is a privilege.
To spent some days in the Valley of Àger is to be garanteed entertainement but also rest and relaxation if you wish. The chance to practice adventure sports is very varied. If you wish to walk the valley and the mountains are full of signposted routes and pathways and also for mountain byke.
Three great areas are the main attraction of the territory: the el Congost de Mont-rebei (The Gorge of Mont-rebei), then the Colegiate-Castle of Sant Pere d’Àger and the COU (Observatory Center of the Universe). The last two only five minuts from the Masia Serret.
