The frontier lands
The valley of Ager was the frontier between the christian counts and Al-Andalus (the Iberian land conquered by the arabs) for many years. As a result of this circumstance the are many romanic castles, towers and churches.
The Colegiate of Sant Pere d’Àger is a romanic monument of great historic and architectural importance built by the lord Arnau Mir de Tost. At the present there avaible guided visits to the castle.
